Agency History
Wilson Insurance Management opened in 1996 as an independent insurance agency.
Owner
DJ (Darien) has been a licensed independent agent since 1984 and has earned the Certified Professional Insurance Woman (CPIW) designation. DJ is a member of the Life Underwriters and is currently pursuing the prestigious Chartered Property/Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. Prior to starting her own agency in 1996, Mrs. Wilson had worked with another local agency as a Property and Casualty agent. DJ enjoys the outdoors, cooking, gardening, antiquing and spending time with her family.
Staff
All staff participate in professional development opportunities throughout the year to stay current with the rapid industry changes. The staff believe it is important for policyholders to be educated about the insurance industry and their role within. “We all take pride in helping to educate our customers. We are routinely thanked by our clients for taking time to explain what, often times, is information that is both confusing and unfamiliar to them”.
Janet Borg joined the agency in May of 2007 as a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant. She recently relocated from Indianapolis where she worked for many years as a legal assistant in a law firm that specialized in insurance defense. Janet received her agent license in August of 2008 and will now serve as a Customer Service Representative for personal lines property and casualty. In her free time she enjoys listening to all types of music, gardening and mountain bike riding.
Karen Manns, Agent and Customer Service Representative, recently joined Wilson Insurance Management after moving from Michigan where she worked for an independent insurance agency for 2 ˝ years. Karen’s background before becoming licensed as an insurance agent was customer service focused. Karen enjoys gardening, cooking, reading, crocheting, bicycling, golfing and spending time with the family. Karen’s role will be as a producer and Customer Service Representative.
